I just purchased a digital camera for my wife, so I thought I'd pass along a couple of pictures of my 3212H. (I took the first picture of my wife, and the next dozen or so of the tractor!)

I bought the tractor a few years ago in fairly rough shape.  The engine and trans were purported to be recently rebuilt, but it was missing the seat, lights, hood, side panels and mower deck belt covers.  Several components had been replaced with jury-rigged parts from newer Simplicity tractors, but with the help of manuals from Simplicity and new and used parts from local dealers as well as Club sponsors Jacks Small Engines, Sandy Lake Implement and JJ Nemes & Sons, I have been able to bring her back into presentable shape.

I'm afraid the pictures do more justice than it deserves.  I gave up trying to paint the hood with Simplicity spray cans, and had it and the mower deck professionally painted (cost more than the tractor!).  Now the original fenders and frame look a bit gnarly in comparison, but as it was never intended to be a show tractor, I'm pleased with the results so far.  It's definitely overkill for my small yard, but with new bearings, bolts and bushings installed, it does a fine job cutting the grass.  I see it as a big, greasy Erector Set, and enjoy tinkering with it.

You have to like the fact that these rugged machines are still supported by their manufacturer many decades later, but without the Simple trACtors website and club, we'd be going it alone.  Thanks for making it all possible, and congratulations on the #1 rating!  Now to address my leaking axle seals.....
