Jim Howland's pair of old AC's.... Can someone help him with his questions on the 314?

I bought this house and 13 acres in Oct. 1996.  The seller had an AC 716H with a 16 hp B&S that smoked badly an a 48" mower deck that wouldn't turn.  He wanted $100 -- but took $80.  I got the deck turning and mowed with it 2 times but the smoke was killing me so I bought a $2,000 piece of junk (Yardman), which I've been mowing with since.

Two months ago a friends father died and they had an AC 314H for sale.  I bought it with the idea of rebuilding it and the 716.  Hope to post pictures of them when their rebuilt.  Was the color of the hood and deck on the AC 314H the same the wheels?  The wheels look like an off white but the hood looks white.  Yes they have both been repainted over the years.

Thanks to everyone for their postings and help.
