B-10/B-12 LAWN

[Source:  Brochure, Allis-Chalmers B-10/B-12 Lawn and Garden Tractors, OPE-1000, Oct 1966 ]

Browse the October, 1966 AC catalog, introducing the new B-12,  and including the again re-named B-10.   Note that the original B-10 actually had a 9 HP engine.  When the HP was increased to 10 in 1965, it was renamed the Big Ten.  However, when the B-12 was introduced in 1966, the Big Ten was renamed once more to the B-10.

This customer brochure information has been expanded by adding dealer product information, as noted by this different color.  This new dealer sales information adds valuable detail, and has helped answer a lot of questions in the evolution of these tractors.  In addition to the engines, these "late" models have these differences:
The Bumblebee logo was first used, and quickly identifies these "late" B-10s from the early ones.  All B-12s have the bumblebee . . .
Model ID plates were first used in the grille, in addition to the AC logo plates.
The engine and drivetrain are now painted black, instead of yellow.
The backrest on the B-10 is now taller, while the B-12 uses a totally new, different seat.
B-12 also uses a new black steering wheel, while the B-10 steering wheel remains white.  Both have a chrome center cap with the Allis-Chalmers trademark.
A quicker (5.1 to 1) steering ratio is now used.
New, heavier front axle and spindles, and wider front wheels with 6:50 x 8 tires on the B-12.
New, longer choke and throttle levers make it easier to precisely operate these engine controls.

Also note that some of the "drill-down" information on the specifications pages is from still other sources.  This is done to provide more comprehensive content.
